Senior Associate/VP - FX & MM Trading/Treasury Funding

This role involves pro-active FX & Money Markets business development predominantly targeting African based clients. As such, superior communication and relationship building skills are essential. This position also requires providing real time pricing to clients for Money Markets and FX products and management of the bank’s treasury. In-depth knowledge of the international capital markets is required, which must include exposure to a wide range of relevant products and the proven ability to effectively price FX & Money Markets margins. A high level of numeracy is essential, together with a good knowledge of the UK regulatory environment.

Job Summary:

• FX & MM dealing;
• Financial analysis (bank, corporate);
• Economic data analysis;
• Model implementation (VBA, C++)
• Funding & Cash Management & addressing liquidity issues.

Responsibilities: (Day-to-day duties; job process; "typical day")

• FX & MM Flow Trading of G10 & African currencies
• Business development & products’ marketing
• Treasury Management
• Production & development of pertinent MI
• Clients database maintenance & KYCs
• FX & MM daily research note
• PL reporting
• Work closely with other desks within the department

Requirements: ("Must-haves")

The candidate will require:

1. Master’s degree in finance
2. Fluency in both English and French
3. Minimum of five years’ experience in sales / trading of emerging & frontier currencies such as NGN, KES, ZAR, MUR, etc.
4. Must possess a transferable client base of 20+ active accounts
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. Excellent communications and mathematical skills
7. Ability to write code in VBA or C++ would be a plus
